Washington International Chorus

The Washington International Chorus is looking for talented singers from the DC Metro area who enjoy performing choral pieces in languages from all over the world. Please pass this on to anyone you know who may be interested in singing with us. www.washingtoninternationalchorus.com


Our Repertoire:

Repertoire includes traditional works, 19th & 20th century arrangements of folk and indigenous tunes, new works, and more. Some examples of our repertoire:


* Gorecki: Lullabies 1, 2 and 3

* Debussy: 3 Chansons

* Guastavino: Se Equivoco La Paloma

* Unknown: Der Kuckuck und der Esel

* Barber: The Coolin



Rehearsal Time and Place:

Rehearsals are held on Thursdays from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at George Mason High School, 7124 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA (map | parking & entry map). George Mason HS is located just a short walk from the West Falls Church Metrorail Station (Orange Line) and near major roads, including Route 7, Hwy 66, and I-495.



What we are looking for:

* Experienced singers who have at least intermediate sight-reading abilities and can blend well with other singers.

* Familiarity and experience singing in foreign languages a plus.

* People who enjoy a musical challenge and can quickly learn their music.

* Singers with great attitudes and creative thoughts who are willing to help on occasion with special events, fundraising and member recruitment.
