Guest DC Government Worker

The Office of the Tenant Advocate will hold its 1st Annual Tenant/Tenant Association Summit on the campus of Gallaudet University on Saturday, September 27, 2008 in the Kellogg Conference Center located at 800 Florida Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002

The summit will bring together tenants, tenant associations, community leaders, city officials and non-profit organizations who will share the knowledge, resources and information that Washington, DC residents need to meet the demanding issues that challenge them in today’s rental housing market.

This is an exciting opportunity to learn the facts about your rights and issues at the summit‘s multi-lingual ‘Boot Camp”; a series of seminars by advocacy professionals on important issues such as:

Rent Control

Buying Your Building

Condo Conversion

Landlord and Tenant Court and much more

The Office of Tenant Advocate is one of the few if not the only independent government agency in the United States that is solely dedicated to protecting the rights of the tenant in rental properties in the District of Columbia. We are aggressively moving forward with a unique event that is geared towards providing tenants and tenant’s associations with the support they most desperately need to maintain their day to day quality of life needs.

Please join us for this interactive, educational full-day event. Come and meet your DC Office of Tenant Advocate staff and learn about the vital issues that affect you, your family or your tenant association.

You can register online* and for more information please feel free to contact us at our office at (202) 478-9275. We encourage you to register early. We look forward to seeing you there!

If are interested in reserving an exhibition table for you or your organization at the summit the fee is $75.00.
