Psycho Posted June 4, 2008 Report Share Posted June 4, 2008 DC vs THE REST O THE USA The people of the District of Columbia politically speaking are very different than the majority of people outside of the beltway in their views on a long string of issues. Thus the people of DC often find it hard to understand why others think the way they do. DC may be the last truly liberal stronghold in America while other liberal areas like California and New York have grown more conservative in their ways voting in more conservative minded leaders. People of DC got a good taste of how different we are during the Democratic party race between Clinton and Obama and some were shocked to learn that there are still major pockets of bigots in America like Kentucky where votes said they can't see tghemselves voting for a black man or other areas against women.
