Hi!

I am in the Connecticut area and I was interested in getting infusion done to my hair very soon. I was wondering if you knew of any stylists in my area, or even New York. How does the pricing work for putting it in and taking it out. I love Americas finest hair! Who did it? I was also wondering how much you charge to do hair and where exactly are you located. I dont really mind traveling to get the best results at the best price.

Please email me at shortyrocsalesse@aol.com

Thanks

First let me thank you.....I did America's Finest hair, I am located in the Laurel Maryland area........There are several salons in the New York area that offer the service but I don't know enough about them to base an opinion. The service starts at about $1000. but I charge much less. I will email you with my price and particulars.

Thank You for your response

Hello there. I was wondering if anyone can help me with my questions about HAIR INFUSION.

1) What are the different techniques?

2) What materials are used in these techniques?

3) A co-worker of mine wants to know how far from the scalp should the infusion be placed.

4) How long do they typically last?

5) My hair fuzzes up almost a week after a perm, would it be bad to get infusion- being that I am always having to straighten my hair with a blow dryer or flat iron?

6) Is there a website dedicated to hair infusion? (Not one that someone is selling their service, but a site that allows one to learn the pros and cons.

If you know the answer to any of these questions, please email me at:

Missfoxxii@yahoo.com- I am so excited to have heard about this method, and would like (need) as much information on it as I can get. Thank you.

BTW: I love reading the posts. Good job ladies.

in the suburbs of Detroit and I don't know any specialist personally. I was looking on your website and wanted to know if you offer any online classes or if you have instructional videos?

I'm interested in learning the strand by strand fushion technique and I live in Detroit MI I don't know any reputable stylists who offer this service and I was

wondering if you offered classes by video or do you travel any to give classes?

BTW: I love reading the posts. Good job ladies.

1.There are several strand by strand methods, too many to name but the most popular, cold & hot fusion.

2.I use the hot fusion system using a keritin based fusion bond. Cold fusion is the application of hair extensions with the use of plastic coated nickel alloy clamps.

3.The bonds should be applied about 1/8th of an inch from the scalp.

4.Fusion bonds last about 4 months with proper care and maintanance depending on how fast the hair grows.

5.The key is to make sure the extension hair texture is as close to your hair texture as possible, it doesn't matter how often you blow-dry or flat iron.

6.Most websites dedicated to any hair service sell the service, we work and train hard to show our talent and creativity, but most extension specialist offer free consutations (this is the time to ask questions) the pro's and con's can be many depending on your concerns but here are a few general.

Pro's

You can take care of your hair with the system in place..(deep condition and oil)

You can relax and color your hair with the system in place.

No bumps, lumps, tracks or braids.......(undetectable)

Con's

Hidden costs........(fusion touch-up's)

Unlike braids you can't apply and forget about your hair, you need to maintain your hair, and it takes work (even more with longer hair) you need to consider your lifestyle and how much time you are willing to devote to your hair.

I hope this helps

Thank You

Hi Valencia, I have emailed you to try to set-up an appt. Thanks for being so patient and helping all of us that are ignorant to these techniques. I have read all the messages and even though you have answered the same question before, you so politely answer (sometimes in great detail) everyone as if it's the first time that question has been asked. Thanks again, Karen, FL

Hi my name is Latosha and I am in the military and I will be station up at Ft.Meade next Aug and I know that its nine months away but I will like to know:

How much the infusion process cost?

Is there a special kind of hair that I need and if so how much is it ?

Is it a certain length your hair have to be for the infusio to look natural?

How much is the touch-up and how often do you have to get them done?

I read one of the post and and said that someone in Laurel, MD does the infusion can I know who it is and where is the salon located..

I know I have more questions but can't think of them all right now but any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated. :D

Guest Kassidy

Hello! :D

Thank you for the time and energy you put into this message board Valencia. God bless you.

I have a hot fusion system in my hair right now, that I put in myself because in the Los Angeles area the going rate is $1000.00. The color is a little off, so I dyed all of it so it would match all over. I have a relaxer but I was blessed with truly African hair, :P and it retains a wave and curl after I relax it.

I attempted to flat iron it, but I could not get close to my bonds or my scalp because the bonds would melt. So I am left with poofy hair.

Please help me! How do I straighten my hair with heat and not melt the bonds?

Thank you again.

Hello my name is shiry and I have read your post. What kind of bond did you use? Was it polywax or keratin protein based? Polywax cannot withstand alot of heat and the keratin based can withstand some heat. If you were blessed with african american hair was your hair ever relaxed from root to ends before the fusion process? What kind of flat iron do you presently have? Is it ceramic plated inside and out? What kind of oil are you using on your hair?

Sorry, I reread your post and you said you had a slight wave/curl. I have a chi iron/BBflat iron. they are both temperature regulated (400 degrees farenheit). I have used different products on different people I use either hot six oil, or ultrasheen satin press. I use it sparingly. Not a a whole lot! To much will mean lifeless and limp. I also use Biosilk silk therapy. Like I said different products for different client needs. Without actually seeing and feeling your hair, I really couldn't reccomend from my end. Maybe Valencia can. Good luck!

And last...... I am aware that the hair fusion in your area is quite expensive, but for future reference you want to consult a professional extensionist before, during and after your service. Even if you have to travel (Valencia) it is worth it. It is hard to recomend and give hair consults without actually seeing a picture or :D providing a service for yur hair. Valencia is very reasonable and knowledgeable. Good luck!

PERFECT ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank You Shiry,

Kassidy, Shiry is right but let me add that a good relaxer and the right hair texture is key. And I know alot of ladies don't want to hear this but proper application is so important, consider having it done by a specialist. The bonds should be placed about 1/8 of an inch from the scalp so if you flat iron under the bonds it should not pouf or maybe you need a relaxer touch-up, it is hard to analyze without first looking at your hair so please take this for what it's worth.......an intelligent guess......

I hope this helps

Hello ladies hope you're all well. My name is Cherry and I am from London in England UK. I stumbled upon this Chat room while looking for information on Fusion Strand by Strand extensions. I have been reading the messages posted on here in the past few days and I think that it is fantastic. There is a real sense of sisterhood on here and it is so nice.

More to the point....I have read through the advice and comments of Valencia and I think she is great. I use the virgin indian hair from remy hair today for my own head and I really like it. To hear that Valencia loves the hair too was great coz I then I knew that I had the best.

Anyway before I start talkng for England. I was hoping that Valencia could advise me on how to remove my extensions. I am using the keratin glue to apply and really need your specialist advise for the removal technique.

Fusion has not kicked off in the UK the way it has in the states so there isn't really anyone to ask especially about african hair.

I realise that you are so busy and will wait patiently for your response.

Thank you for your time and keep up the wonderful work that you are doing coz Girl, we really need you!

Please contact me at cherrycom2005@yahoo.co.uk

Thanks Cherry

Is there anyone that you know of in Houston (or near Houston) that is a reasonably priced, trained sylist in hair fusion.

If not, looks like I will have to plan for a trip to MD in the near future. I need a few days off anyway...

Thanks,
