what methods are used for strand by strand?

Will it damage your hair?

What type of hair(weave) is best to get to use for black hair

Fusion is the method of connecting very small sections of extension hair to your hair with heated fusion bond or small clamps, the reason it is called strand by strand is because the sections are so tiny aprox 10-15 strands of hair.

The type of weave best for your hair depends on your hair, factors to consider: length, strength, & thickness to name a few, I find fusion to be one of the most undetectable.

Fusion will not damage your hair if taken care of and removed properly, PLEASE be sure to get full maintenance instructions and schedule a consultation before having the service done.

Thank You for your response

I also wore micro-braids before graduating to fusion. It took me 19 hours to do it because I insisted my braids be as thin as a strand of hair. Now it only takes about 4 hours to do my own fusion.

Prices vary from state to state, I charge a flat fee of $400. because I adore my clients and I want to make sure it is affordable to anyone that wants it, who says celebrities deserve all the perks ;) You can use any type of HUMAN hair PLEASE NO SYNTHETIC. My clients supply their hair, that keeps my cost low. Make sure you choose someone that knows what they are doing, use your instincts make sure you do a consultation, and ask to see samples. You can email me at

hairbyvalencia@yahoo.com with a contact number to further discuss this matter I don't mind paying for the call

HI Valencia!

I hear that you are the fusion professional. I am currently a college student/Army reservist and I was wanting to learn and try the fusion technique. I don't really have all the money to spend on getting it professionally done and for the most part I do my own hair. Mainly bonding weave in my hair or tying my natural hair back in a ponytail. By the way I just wanted to say the reason why I thought about wanting to do fusion was because I do alot of exercise to meet military standards and I hate when my tracks slip. I like the long length, and I have just a little less than shoulder length hair. I was planning to go to the beauty store by my place which carries Torrain hair fusion kit and give it a try. I was wondering how to go about doing the fusion correctly, and how to remove it when the time comes. Also with the fusion technique am I able to give my hair a touch up(relaxer, or coloring). I know I am all over the place with my writing. I just want a solution for this problem. My workout are basically every day for more than an hour. I still have the tracks in my head currently and would like to get my hair back to how it was before I got into the service long and healthy with the help of addition for the mean time. Please help!!

I use the hot gun method, It usually last about six months if cared for and applied properly, it took me about five hours to do my own

Thanks for your response

Can you give me a call. Thanks..Oh..BUT, FIRST, GIVE MY HUSBAND, FRANK, A CALL. His cell number is: 909-519-7160. Totally convince Him PLEASE!! Oh, and my home number is: 909-594-5609 and my cell is:951-733-6297.

I am a fusion specialist, I would be delighted to answer any questions on the subject of strand by strand hair fusion technique.

It is a hair weaving technique that is undetectable. You can perm and color your hair with the system in place.

IT IS WONDERFUL!!

for hair weaving, does anyone know what the best type of human hair is best for human hair weaving. what brand and what type for straight, silky for a white girl?

I was on the internet trying to research the healthiest way to have my hair weaved. I've been very interested in the fusion technique for some time and during my search was completely turned away from it when I read that it is damaging to the hair. But in reading the discussions on the technique through this discussion board I have become increasingly interested. I am a 26 year old who is now wearing braids. I had a friend braid my hair and it caused bad balding around the hair line. I was wondering if it would be safe to use the fusion technique even with the damage? I would also llike to know how to do the techunique myself. I am very good at doing hair and do hair weaves and braiding on other people. I am interested in learning as much information as I can especially being that my hair is already damaged would it be safe to use the technique? Where can I purchase a kit? How much would the supplies cost?

First I want to say Shawill please don't take this personal, but I when I started this topic my motive was to educate women that want to have the service done and to make sure they are armed with the proper information. I DON'T recommend anyone without proper training to try to do it at home because you have no idea how to fix a problem (AND THEY DO HAPPEN) just like any service, and without proper training you could make it worse, why take that chance? leave the ADVANCE extesions to the pro's, I have soooo many customers that think they can mimic the service but have problems and that is because there are subltle things that we are taught that you are unaware of. You will save money, time and loss of hair if you bite the bullet and have it done right or get the proper hand on hands training. (I have other talents but I have 20 years in the hair business)

P.S. There is a product called temple balm that is wonderful for hairline breakage you will find it at your beauty supply store, try it and I promise you will thank me.

Thank You

Hi Ladies! I am new as well. I live in the Baltimore MD area and would like to find someone to do my extentions. Fusion sounds best.

I have been sick for a long time and lost some of my hair due to meds. Which i am no longer taking. I am getting married in May 05 and would like a long free flowing hairstyle. But I don't want traditional weaves. I hate the bulk to them.

Does anyone know of a someone in the MD/VA/DC area that is REASONABLY PRICED?? Also, what is the average cost I can expect to pay? DO I buy my own hair or does the shop supply it?

THanks

Belle

Hello Valencia

I came across this page looking for weave techniques and I am delighted! I e-mailed you with my questions as well as my contact numbers. I see that you are located near Laurel which is even better because that is where I live! In early 2004 my hairdresser cut my hair way to short when he was only supposed to be giving me a trim and since then I have been alternating between senegalese twists (cute and easy to remove) and a new weaving system that was recommended to me by my sister-in-law called Polywax. I have gotten this weave system twice and although I was pretty satisfied with the outcome and their pretty affordable prices, most of the stylists do not know a lot about hair care, they are just trained to put the polywax pieces in. I also made the mistake of trying to remove them myself because they were shedding and pieces were falling out so badly that I figured I could just melt the wax with the flat iron and slide the pieces on out, which worked but some pieces broke parts of my hair off. I am now looking for an affordable and natural looking weave technique so that I can part and style my hair easily in the mornings before work. Can this type of weave be wrapped at night? And also I noticed that you say that we should provide the hair. What type of hair is the best to use and where can I get it at an affordable price? Thanks in advance!

Hello!

I'm from London and just joined this message board. I am about to do some modelling for a hair salon and they want to do Micro bonding/fusion to my hair. My hair is shoulder length and pressed (my hair has never been permed/texturised). I am worried of any negative effects it will have on my hair during wearing the extentions and after being taken out, please can you let me kno if there are any effects eg dry/split ends, hair loss when removing or during wear etc. I'v been told by other people thats its bad for my hair but just wanted a professional opinion.

Thanks

What a lucky girl,

You are in the right country to have the service done Europeans have been doing this method LONG before Americans but I'm sure you will run into some of the same problems that we do, again ask questions during the consultation, make sure they demostrate how they plan to remove the fusion, refusal to do this means there is something to hide I even give my clients a sample strand (by request) to test at home for example they can wash apply oil and any product that they use at home to prove all my claims. If applied and removed properly there is no damage as a matter of fact it should promote hair growth because you can take care of your hair while the system is in place.

I hope this helps

Thank You for your response
