NOW, let's get down to business....

PLEASE BEWARE!!!!

I feel the need to repeat a few things....Please do your research, it is more important now that the service is more popular....Everytime I receive an e-mail from a client that had a bad experience I do research....I was shocked when I visited this one website because not only did they do a HORRIBLE job on her hair but charged her $110. per 25 mass produced pre-tipped hair bonds and 7.45 per bond to apply....I pre-tip my hair by hand to ensure there are no air pockets and minimum shedding....I apply on an average 130 bonds (full head).... So I did the math their price for the hair....$572. For the service....$968. total:$1540. For what? No customer service, sub par work, and the run around when she complained....Please do research before getting any service done and more important, do a consultation....Ask many questions and if you don't feel comfortable and/or more educated when you leave the consultation keep looking....I'm not comfortable with stylist that won't take a few moments to answer simple questions via e-mail and/or phone, you know the ones....They tell you they need you to come in before they give a quote or further information....EVERYBODY has an average, I charge a flat rate so I don't have that problem but when a client ask for a time-frame, I know it depends on many factors BUT, I do have an average....My point, PLEASE keep in mind, your hair is your crown and glory don't slack because of excitement and/or impulse....

Thanks

As you can see I am back, making up for lost time with A LOT to say....

I am asked 2 main questions about strand by strand fusion extensions and I am going to address them right now....

1. Is fusion damaging to the hair?

Any service can be damaging to the hair if not applied, cared for and/or removed properly....You need to ask questions during the consultation and ask for full aftercare instructions in writing (if not offered) by the stylist....Please remember fusion extensions require an investment of time and money....Most extensionist (including myself) make statements like the extensions become your hair....Treat it like you would treat your hair....We truly mean those comments but we take for granted that you treat your hair like gold....I have clients that don't like to deal with their hair ( thank goodness most are honest about that up front)....You need to tell the specialist before having the service done how much time and effort you are willing to devote to your hair so you can discuss your options....You can decide at that time if fusion extensions are for you....PLEASE be honest with your stylist AND stylist be fair and honest with your clients (VERY IMPORTANT!!!!)....STYLIST, keep in mind we too make mistakes, it is a part of the learning process....CLIENTS be honest with your stylist, if you make a mistake, tell your stylist....A good stylist will forgive mistakes and work with you....

2. How long does fusion extensions last?

Fusion extensions can last UP TO 4 months BUT not all clients can go 4 months and some can go longer, it depend on many factors: How fast the hair grows and how well the bonds are taken care of are the major two but there are many factors that can make a difference....Fusion touch-up's can increase the wear of your extensions but PLEASE don't go into this thinking that fusion touch-up's can prolong the amount of time that you should wear the bonds....You really should have them removed and/or re-done after 4 months....Hair sheds on a regular basis and the bond prevents that hair from being released (just like braids)....Of course you should brush your extensions (straight hair) and finger comb your extensions (wavy and/or curly) on a regular basis to prevent dreading but that hair trapped in the bond still needs to be released in a timely manner (4 months) not to mention when the hair grows the bond weighs the hair down and that too can cause damage....I have had clients try to do many touch-up's thinking that way they can wear the extensions longer but keep in mind, touch-up's are only done on a fraction of the hair at a time....Once that first touch-up is done the bonds are growing out in different intervals....After your second touch-up, you need to prep to have them re-done (within a month) or decide if you want to do something different....Getting too many touch-up's is like putting a band aid on a major injury....Not only are you putting your hair in jeopardy, you are wasting money because you will eventually need to get them more and more frequent....I now limit the amount of touch-up's per service....

Thanks

VERY IMPORTANT ALERT TO STYLIST AND CLIENTS!!!!

We had a client recently contact us because her fusion bonds wasn't holding up as well and/or as long....We asked her to list every change she made since her first set....The only major change was maintenance and styling products.... At first I thought that couldn't make a difference until I took the time to read the contents that made up the product....To my SHOCK one of the main ingredients was Acetate which is a lighter form of Acetone the main chemical used to remove fusion bonds....She said she was leaving this product on her hair for at least 20 minutes at a time to achieve maximum deep conditioning results....After much research, I was shocked to learn that this chemical is found in several (but not most) hair colors and conditioners....It is used to create shine....I felt the need to publish this information because for years I have published that styling products should not make a difference when wearing fusion extensions so it is my professional responsibility to publish the correction ....I do want to note that I'm not saying those products are bad for the hair but it will have an affect on fusion bonds....JUST THE PRODUCTS THAT CONTAIN THE INGREDIENT ACETATE....NOT ALL CONDITIONERS AND/OR COLOR PRODUCTS....

Thanks

Hello All,

I a offering a new and exciting service that I know will help many but I need to first tell you the inspiration behind this service....An incredible and brave young women e-mailed me in June of 2007 she told me her hair was thinning and wanted to know if fusion was right for her....She lives MANY miles away, so many that she had to fly in so I asked her to send pictures of her hair via e-mail for me to view....She sent pictures of the back and sides of her hair....Her hair was a great length and healthy in the back, her edges were VERY thin but I knew I could work around that so we booked an appointment for her to fly in and have the service done....She was a tad nervous (for good reason) and e-mailed me on a regular basis with questions about the service and thank goodness within that time-frame we developed a friendship....Once that friendship was formed she became more comfortable with me and eventually told me that she was also thinning on the top of her head....I instantly asked for pictures of the top of her head and determined that fusion wouldn't work on that area so we had to cancel her appointment....What broke my heart was she later opened up and told me that she had an idea that fusion wouldn't work so she didn't send pictures of the balding area because she was in denial....I HAD TO HELP HER!!!!I was familiar with lace-front wigs and partial lace-frontals but had just played around with them before now....I came to the conclusion that a lace-frontal would be perfect for her and I would do fusion bonds in the back of her head just to add a little length so she could have a little fun....6 months and MANY e-mails later (Dec 21rst) she had the service done and I can't start to explain the feeling that I had when I was done....I promise, no words can explain the feeling, AND This BRAVE, INCREDIBLE, UNSELFISH young lady told me that I could use her pictures (before and after) and said that she didn't want her face blurred or covered....At that point, I realized I needed to also (and most important) market what a GREAT person the good Lord bought into my life....I want to make sure that she and the world know the impact she has had on my life and that she is a BEAUTIFUL person inside and out....I also want the world to know that I'm almost double your age my dear but I aspire to be just like you....WHAT AN INCREDIBLE ROLE MODEL FOR US ALL!!!! Sweetie, I know the road that you have traveled to become who you are, I also know the obstacles that you had to climb....I just want you to know that you have self-awareness and self esteem that most of us either wish, dream or think we have....(myself included)....I just didn't realize until I was graced with your presence....

Thank You so much and know that you are truly blessed

Valencia

I NEED TO VENT!!!!

Ladies PLEASE don't leave fusion bonds in your hair longer than 4 months!!!!I extend my pre-tipping services to my colleagues....One of my colleagues did a clients fusion extensions 9MONTHS AGO....Yes 9 MONTHS....The clients didn't go to her for maintenance or basics services but booked an appointment 9 months later for a removal....My colleague thought she was going to have a sew-in removed but to her shock the client still had the original fusion bonds in her hair....I have explained time and time again that your hair sheds on a daily basis naturally and when you apply extensions of any kind they prohibit that shedded hair from falling....If that hair isn't released in a timely manner it will matte and/or dread....My colleague was VERY concerned when her client finally returned because she had a hard time removing the bonds....I knew it was because the hair matted around the bond therefore making it difficult for the remover to reach the bond....This just happened today so I'm not sure of the outcome but I'm sure it will not be good....9 months of shedding, matting and not properly maintaining the extensions can and will cause damage....First, let me make it clear that I don't know this client so I can't speak for or about her but there are others out there that has done the same and blamed either the fusion service and/or the stylist and neither is to blame....The question I'm asked the most is about damage and my answer is always the same....Most chemicals and/or services don't cause hair damage, 95% of the time it's human error....PLEASE research and ask questions before having any service done and if there is any doubt in your mind that you can't comply when it comes to maintaining the service.... PLEASE DON'T HAVE IT DONE!!!! I truly hope that client takes responsibility for her actions or lack there of....

Thanks

Sorry if this may have caused confusion. It must have been late when I typed this, and put "not accepting new clients" instead of "now accepting new clients"

I am certainly accepting new clients, sorry for the mix up!
