Recommended Posts

This July, in celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the signing of the US-Japan Treaty of Peace and Amity, one of Japan’s most important traditional performing arts is coming to the East Coast. Throughout the month of July, the world renowned kabuki actor Nakamura Kankuro and his Heisei Nakamura-za kabuki troupe will be performing for American audiences in New York, Boston and Washington D.C. These performances offer a unique opportunity to experience a special aspect of traditional Japanese culture and promise to be an unforgettable event.

Presented by the Japan-America Society of Washington D.C., in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan Agency for Cultural Affairs
