Our Chantilly, VA office is seeking an entry level Staff Engineer to join our team as a water/wastewater engineer, where you will have the opportunity to utilize your skills as well as work with our regional water engineering staff to support our existing and future work in the water and wastewater engineering markets. Your work would involve planning and designing water or wastewater treatment plants and pump stations. The selected candidate will work with a variety of individuals at varying professional levels to prepare design drawings. Additionally, you may be involved in conducting project planning, study/research work, water/wastewater infrastructure design, modeling, and possibly construction inspection activities. You will be asked to identify and evaluate alternatives, design of collection system facilities, preparation of design plans, specifications and estimates, coordinating with design staff and other regional water staff, interfacing with regulators, working within budgets and schedules, and preparing reports and other written communications.

Basic Qualifications: This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering.


Preferred Qualifications: Interested candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Civil or Environmental Engineering, a Masters degree is preferred along with an EIT. At least one to two years of related work experience (including internship and/or co-op experience) preferred. Additional requirements include excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis & technical problem solving, organizational skills, multitasking ability and excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite).
