Hey, this is Kurt with the report for Thursday morning at 6:05 AM.

 

SURF:

1-2 ft - ankle to knee high with occasional 3 ft. and poor+ conditions.

 

AM Report:

Semi clean but drifty S windswell this morning with gusty SW winds.

 

DELMARVA'S REGIONAL OVERVIEW:

S windswell on tap for today, strongest at the better exposed spots. Expect gusty SW winds to continue through the day.

 

FORECAST SUMMARY:

THURSDAY:

A frontal boundary moves over the region. 2-3ft + S windswell.

 

Conditions:

Winds are SW 15-20kts.

I just heard on Irie Radio FM98.1 that the fireworks setup has closed the two downtown designated surfing locations at Division Street and at the inlet. Bummer :unsure: The 69th street beach is still open but the wind is wippin and it has to be crowded!

Lee from Malibu Surf shop says tomorrow should be much better, and maybe this afternoon as well. The Ocean City surfing beaches today July 16th 2007 are 120th 45th and the inlet beach until 5:pm.

Today's surfing beaches in Ocean City are 27th street, 95th at the Pyramid Condominium, and the Inlet beach.

 

SURF:

1-2 ft - ankle to knee high with occasional 3 ft. and poor-fair conditionsthis morning, but picking up for this afternoon. Look for waist high good conditions this afternoon.

 

AM Surf Report:

glassy and clean with light to calm winds early, some plus peaks but its a little deep and weak. conditions will improve as the tide comes down this morning.

1-2' occ. 3' ESE background swell mix. Winds are light and calm early and will go SE today. the surf is small and weak with the early high tide and conditions will improve slightly as the tide comes down this morning.
