Ovechkin and the CAPS win again

It really is astounding how such a young player can be making so much loot!! Ovechkin is the man right now in Hockey. Even during the Pittsburg earlier in the week he made one of the game winning shots at the end of the game, and he was 0-2 in tie breaker shots until then.. He is really showing us what he is paid for. The CAPS are alive!

WHAT?? Giants are in the SUper Bowl

After all of the hell our team went through this year what can we that loyal fans say? Sean Taylors death and bad call making, the injuries you name it.. I could go on and on. I am actually happy that the Giants made it to the Superbowl (since it's not the Skins...) The important thing now is that Dallas didn't make it.. T.O. is a crybaby and Romo is a "wiencer" I would still like to see the Patriots win. Reason being is that they have a perfect year to screw it up now. Brady is the "MAN". I love that guy! He makes it happen!! We have time to heal now that our season is over. Mentally, and physicaly. The media is keeping us alive anyway so the publicity of it all is insane. I love my Skins. Ya know we did redeam ourselves in the end there. HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We will see you next year. But for now.. Go PATRIOTS!!!! Well they are both the colors of Red, White & Blue. To make another good point about this Superbowl. It is all Red, White & Blue. That is patriotic!

    Living with Endometriosis

I have been on a low dose of pain meds so if I stoped taking them I don't think I would go through too many withdraw simptoms. Thank god for that. I always have hope that I will not be in pain some day! Surgery is definetley not the answer for me. There are other kinds of alternative pain managment like acupucture and massage therapy but, those cost an arm and a leg. I am 36 so I have a normal everyday scedule that I am on.. I don't need a major change as far as that goes right now. Thanks for your feedback!

    Thrift shopping

If you are are on a tight buget go to a local thrift store and you can find anything you may need for a fraction of the price. My son is 9 years old and he is growing fast. Buying new things for him that he will grow out of in a month or so is a waste of money. There is really some good quality name brand stuff that is new that some other kid didn't get a chance to ware or grew out of. Don't knock these thrify stores. Visit one today for a great deal. Happy Shopping!
  7. Since the summer of 1993 I have been diagnosed with a condition known as Endometriosis. It is quite painful. I have had many surgeries and spent lots of money. Not having insurance for a few of the surgeries really put a hurting on my bank account. I have probablly put out 20 to 30g's since then (1993) I was 23 years old then. I would have rather got a boob job or buy a house when I was able to.. And what the doctors promised would help has not helped at all. Before I had my first surgery the doctors thought I was faking it and when they operated they were surprised to see I was not. I can't even begin to tell you how anoying it is to have pain everyday and not a whole lot of relief from my meds.. I thought someone might know what I can do. .I should know something after all of these years but I all the advice is the same. Get Surgery! Never again.. I guess I have to live with this forever. Bummer! Here is some facts about Endometriosis The term endometriosis refers to a benign and common disease in which cells like the ones that line the inside of the womb are established outside the womb e.g. on the ligament supporting the uterus. in the ovaries, tubes, pelvis, bowels, bladder, etc. In patients with endometriosis, these cells, like the endometrium, respond to the monthly hormonal changes. When the woman with endometriosis menstruates, the endometrium is shed in the form of a period, the endometriosis breaks down in the same way but because these cells are trapped inside, and cannot escape, they form swellings filled with dark blood (known as chocolate cysts) and induces chronic inflammatory reaction and adhesions which may damage the tubes. Endometriosis tends to occur in women who are in their 30s and early 40s, but occasionally occurs in those under 30 years of age. Some patients with endometriosis may have no symptoms; some may experience considerable pain during their periods or during intercourse and their periods tend to be heavy. On vaginal examination their may be tenderness and thickening of the supporting ligaments of the uterus in women with endometriosis. Ovarian cysts may also be felt by the doctor. The majority of women with endometriosis are fertile. However, some women may experience difficulty becoming pregnant.

Sean Taylor was a great player

I still can't get over the fact that Sean Taylor is gone. Talk about total bummer. I suppose I think about what would have happend if he was there to play for the rest of the season. I am greatful we made it as far as we did. All of those guys involved deserve the worst. It's easy for me to say. Not only does Sean Taylors family have to deal with a loss, but the guys who did it.... There familys will be losing their sons as well. If you have no intention of shooting someone then don't bring a gun. It really takes a coward to pull the trigger. Those kids had no common scence. And worst of all there lives are over. The good thing is that the rest of the Redskin players and organization is strong and this tragedy made us stronger. Hail to the Redskins!!! Good Luck next season!

    Wheaton Regional Park

Spring will be here before you know it and I would love to tell you about a place called Brookside Gardens/ Wheaton Regional Park in Wheaton, Maryland. Wheaton is located right outside of DC in Montgomery County. There is something there for eveyone. For the kids there are all kinds of activities like a train ride (starting in May). It takes you on a small journey through the park to show you wildlife and the beautiful landscape. There is also a Carosel and lots of Jungle Gym's, swings and slides. It will keep the kids busy all day, and they will have a blast.. The park is used often for family reunions, birthdays, company picnics, and any special events that you have planned. That is if you want to spend it in nature. And if you are thirsty or need to cool down there are vending machines with drinks and Ice Cream which is great on a hot day. If you wanted to bring your own food to cook the park also provides grills and pinic tables. Most all of the picinic areas are shaded by trees but there are covered sheltered areas too. Even for adults there is fishing and lots of trails to venture on for that exersise that we all need. Connected to Wheaton Regional Park is the always amazing and tranquil Brookside Gardens. It's a whole nother world. You will be glad that you came here. Flowers as far as you can see of all kinds, with fountains, arbors, ponds with huge Coi fish, and rolling hills of beauty. Ranch Hand Admits to Baiting Wolves to Prey on Livestock

I am a huge animal lover and think that you should totally be prosicuted for harming any Grey Wolves or any indangered species. They are part of our ecosystem and we need them. I am out in nature all the time and see how our rivers and streams are being poluted and trash being left around. What the heck are people thinking. There are more problems with people not taking responsibility for there selves and actions and I have had it. I always make an effort to do my part and clean up any trash I see when I am fishing, or hiking and do my part to make this world, The C&O Canal and the Potomac River a better, cleaner place to visit. The Potomac River is a wonderful place and I want to keep it that way.. I hope that the Grey Wolves can survive and thrive in the future.

    Gratitude Forum!

The Power of DC Pages As I was surfing the net I came across the DC Pages website and I am amazed at all of the information that is avalible. There is everything from Restaurants, to The Ocean City Guide, to Local Politics as well. Something that is really important to me is the free posting of events. My roomate has a band and I have erged him to post his information on DC Pages for new gigs. I am positve that he will get some responce and recognition when he decideds to register with DCPages. If I could define DCPages, I would say that it is a very personable website that will catch your eye and make you want to keep searching for more things to see and do, or voice your own opinion on something that matters to you. Its not just all of DC that you can find facts or information about. I have come across things that would normally not be of interest to me in the DC Message Board section. I do look at some of those subjects anyway just to see other peoples points of view and intrests are. I can also find out that are liked or disliked in the beautiful city of Washington, DC, or one of the top 10 Hotels in Ocean City. One stop on this website and I don't need to go anywhere else. The events section is a great tool for posting any seminars, rock shows, Family Night Out events, etc. For Free!! What more could you ask for? The possibilitie are endless. What I mean by that is you can point and click and be involed in your community just like that. You can advertise, find a Nanny or look for a job. These are just a small fraction of things to explore. How convient! The many areas of information that are provided at DCPages is whatever you make it. If you participate and involving yourself with DCPages.com then you are willing to making things happen for you and others in the area who want to be heard or seen. The DCPages is powerful and anyone from anywhere can contribute to it.

MIght I Suggest A Little Wine

If you are a moderate wine drinker you may want to know that there is alot of research that indicates that red wine has a significant antioxidant protection. Chemicals found in red wines, have the potential to overcome free radicals that are bound and determined to cause cellular damage. These free radicals may be the cause of various forms of Cancer and Heart Disease. Wines may also have good benifits such as improving proper circulation if drank seldom or moderatly. The cell and animal studies of red wine have examined effects in several cancers including leukemia, skin , breast, and prostate cancers . Scientists are studying resveratrol to learn more about its cancer preventive activities. Recent evidence from animal studies suggests this anti-inflammatory compound may be an effective chemopreventive agent in three stages of the cancer process: initiation, promotion, and progression. Studies of the association between red wine consumption and cancer in humans are in their initial stages. Consumption of large amounts of alcoholic beverages may increase the risk of some cancers, there is growing evidence that the health benefits of red wine are related to its nonalcoholic components. All of the things that you had mentioned are very true but I just wanted to give you some facts about Red Wine if you were wondering. I love to have a glass of wine to relax and also to enjoy with dinner.
