We lived in the DC area when I was a child during World War II. For nearly a year, our residence was the then-fashionable Wardman Park Hotel. The Army put us up there when no apartments were available anywhere. Among other things, it was one of ther sites of the annual President's Birthday Ball for FDR (which we were able to attend ... for about 10 minutes!). Can anyone provide info on where it was, what happened, when torn down, or any other history? It'd be much appreciated by an aging writer. Thanks. The name's Ron.
