Every person wishing admittance to the Inaugural Ceremony, including children, must have a ticket. Individuals without valid tickets will not be admitted.

Tickets are color-coded to facilitate entrance to the ceremony. Entrance will be granted only at the gate indicated on your ticketl i.e. the tickets are 'gate coded.'

Be prepared to pass through several security screenings before reaching the section indicated on your ticket. There will be no check room for prohibited items.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

* Firearms and ammunition (either real or simulated)
* Explosives of any kind (including fireworks)
* Knives, blades, or sharp objects (of any length)
* Mace and/or pepper spray
* Sticks or poles
* Pockets or hand tools, such as "Leatherman"
* Packages
* Backpacks
* Large bags
* Duffel bags
* Suitcases
* Thermoses
* Coolers
* Strollers
* Umbrellas
* Laser pointers
* Signs
* Posters
* Animals (other than service animals)
* Alcoholic beverages
* Other items that may pose a threat to the security of the event as by and at the discretion of the security screeners.

Do you know what is up with Green Inaugural Ball tickets? I heard on the news they are releasing more to the public. Do I go to the Mellon Auditorium to get them? Thanks

Where did you find Inauguration tickets? I looked all over the web site and can't find anything there.

Tickets for the Inauguration itself (not any of the balls) have not been printed yet, so if you're planning on "buying a block" of them on Craig's List, well, Caveat Emptor my friend.

About the only thing that I found interesting about this inauguration is that? Sprint is providing the security communications for the event.

By the way; My hard drive went completely out. Remember folks? Back Up, Back Up, Back Up your information always. :) I do.

Why not just go to the web site itself

http://www.GreenInauguralBall.com

You can buy tickets straight from the source and not pay any markup. Just my 2 cents.

I do not like the fact that there is no plan for people for the disabled. How can expect to even think about attending this event when there is limited wheel chair access.

Now you know what Barack Obama thinks of folks in chairs.

You have to look at his past to understand how our group WILL BE treated in his incoming administration.

Plus the way the economy is, and add to that, that the credit crisis was started by the democrats, and that they got a free pass on it. Leaves our group HIGH and DRY, no matter which side of the aisle that we are on.

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE. I REALLY DO WISH ALL OF YOU WELL FINANCIALLY.

IT'S ALSO TIME FOR ME TO KEEP MY PROMISE EFFECTIVE JANURARY 1ST " To go after the democrats politically as well as legally".

By the Way to the Democrats;

YOUR Numbers DON'T Add up for your own health care Bills that you WILL be bringing forward in this NEW YEAR.

With all the financial games going on out there, I very much doubt that the general public is going to be very receptive to the fact that YOU ARE PLAYING WITH THE NUMBERS, AND the amount of years, or to be more precise; It taking 1.5 DECADES FOR ANY TYPE OF COST SAVINGS TO TAKE AFFECT UNDER YOUR NUMBERS. Not 1.5 years, but 1.5 DECADES "Just want to make sure everyone gets to understand the numbers games that not only the democrats are playing with, but BARACK OBAMA IS PLAYING WITH".

THIS IS AFTER ALL YOUR PLAN President Elect Obama.

To those who don't believe me? CALL OUT THE ACCOUNTANTS. :)

Here are some frequently asked Questions and Answers about the Inauguration.

Will the public be allowed to camp out on the Mall during the Inauguration?

It is against the law to camp out (sleeping bags, tents, or other erected structure on National Park Service (NPS) property. That property includes the National Mall and the sidewalks of Pennsylvania Avenue between the Capitol and the White House, as well as the Ellipse, Lafayette Square, Rock Creek Park and the C and O Canal.

Can I drive to the Inaugural Ceremony?

Due to the security restrictions in and around the National Mall for the 2009 Presidential Inauguration, all the access roads into and around the National Mall will be tightly controlled. Normal roadway access to pickup and drop off passengers in and around the National Mall and in the surrounding area will be unavailable. Visitors are encouraged to park and use Metro.

Will the Smithsonian Metro station be open?

Due to security measures, one of two entrances to the Smithsonian Metrorail station on the Blue and Orange Lines will be closed. The Smithsonian station entrance on the National Mall will be closed. The Independence Ave SW entrance will remain open.

The Archives-Navy Memorial/Penn Quarter Metrorail station on Metro's Green and Yellow Lines, will be closed all day on Inauguration Day, Tuesday, January 20.

The closest Metro stations to the Museum that will be open are: Federal Triangle on the Blue and Orange Lines; and Metro Center on the Blue, Orange, and Red Lines.

Customers should expect that many rail station escalators will be turned off to help meter large crowds for safety.

To add my two cents worth, there is a lot of buzz about the Blue Diamond Ball which will have Jackson Browne performing (and Graham Nash I think). This Ball focuses on health care as a theme and will promote Obama's universal health care message. Sounds kinda cool.

All this hoopla is maddening, but I would go see Jackson Browne. Running On Empty is the story of my life.

It's going to be a remarkable moment when he takes the oath of office, a moment for America to come together and begin our journey down a new path. I know how much I'm looking forward to this great event, and I hope you will take advantage of this special opportunity to watch Barack Obama and Joe Biden become President and Vice-President of the United States.

Yes it will be a history breaking moment, but I would of rather had Hilary in office.

When was that Jackson Browne video taken? He still seems to rock! I would love to go see him at that Diamond something Ball, what were the ticket prices again? Is there some sort of theme to the Ball like with the Planet Green Ball or Neighborhood Ball?
