I watched Jeremiah Wright through out the Obama presidential elections and I remember Rev. Wright preaching at my church in Oakland, California some years ago. When I heard him, I thought to myself that this man is so powerful and telling the truth about what he says.
Then I saw him with all the controversy during the elections. I as an African American and christian woman growing up in a country, that I saw for myself to be racist, mean spirited and one sided when it comes to justice with the law. I also remember a many of wonderful childhood and adult memories I had as an American citizen. I as well as many African and AfricanAmericans in this country, does not see America the way a white person or wealthy person see's America for the most part. When you've been called "Niggers" in this day and age and seeing your people historically tortured and told "If you don't like America go back to Africa". Well America and the world forced my people to remain free-labor for hundreds and thousands of years. Now that we have been colonized by Europeans to their life styles, America and spain and europe are home to us.Yes! Africa is the mother land for us and all humanity, but America is our home also. With that said, I understand the hurt, history and pain Rev. Wright must have felt about a country that he once loved and he saw it to be something he never thought it was. So he is speaking out about the injust ploy of hate America is sending amongst it's country men. THIS WAR HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH AMERICA OR OUR FREEDOM!. THIS WAR IS A MASONRY HISTORICAL CONFLICT PUT TOGETHER BY THE ELITE POWERS TO CAUSE DISFUNCTION AMONG THE HUMAN RACE. AND A LOTOF AMERICANS AND OTHER NATIONS HAVE BOUGHT INTO THIS LIE!. NOTHING WHAT YOU SEE IS AS IT REALLY IS!!!. BE CAREFUL WHO YOU LABEL ENEMY, THE ENEMY MAY BE CLOSER TO YOU THAN BREATHING. Everyone is sniffing every corner trying to figure out why Obama attended Trinity. That is an easy answer. Trinity is where South Side blacks go to get connected. Obama is a politician and goes where he can be seen publicly by his voting community.

Remember the whole Judith Miller affair that lead up to the Iraq war, as the entire controversy centers around accusations that the NYT exhibited a pro-Bush administration bias and assisted the administration in selling the war to the public.

Out of a two-hour conversation with you about Barack's spiritual journey and my protesting to you that I had not shaped him nor formed him, that I had not mentored him or made him the man he was, even though I would love to take that credit, you did not print any of that. When I told you,
using one of your own Jewish stories from the Hebrew Bible as to how God asked Moses, "What is that in your hand?," that Barack was like that when I met him. Barack had it "in his hand." Barack had in his grasp a uniqueness in terms of his spiritual development that one is hard put to find in the 21st century, and you did not print that.
As I was just starting to say a moment ago, Jodi, out of two hours of conversation I spent approximately five to seven minutes on Barack's taking advice from one of his trusted campaign people and deeming it unwise to make me the media spotlight on the day of his announcing his candidacy for the Presidency and what do you print? You and your editor proceeded to present to the general public a snippet, a printed "sound byte" and a titillating and tantalizing article about his disinviting me to the Invocation on the day of his announcing his candidacy.
I have never been exposed to that kind of duplicitous behavior before, and I want to write you publicly to let you know that I do not approve of it and will not be party to any further smearing of the name, the reputation, the integrity or the character of perhaps this nation's first (and maybe even only) honest candidate offering himself for public service as the person to occupy the Oval Office.
Your editor is a sensationalist. For you to even mention that makes me doubt your credibility, and I am looking forward to see how you are going to butcher what else I had to say concerning Senator Obama's "Spiritual Biography." Our Conference Minister, the Reverend Jane Fisler Hoffman, a white woman who belongs to a Black church that Hannity of "Hannity and Colmes" is trying to trash, set the record straight for you in terms of who I am and in terms of who we are as the church to which Barack has belonged for over twenty years.
The president of our denomination, the Reverend John Thomas, has offered to try to help you clarify in your confused head what Trinity Church is even though you spent the entire weekend with us setting me up to interview me for what turned out to be a smear of the Senator; and yet The New York Times continues to roll on making the truth what it wants to be the truth. I do not remember reading in your article that Barack had apologized for listening to that bad information and bad advice. Did I miss it? Or did your editor cut it out? Either way, you do not have to worry about hearing anything else from me for you to edit or "spin" because you are more interested in journalism than in truth.
Forgive me for having a momentary lapse. I forgot that The New York Times was leading the bandwagon in trumpeting why it is we should have gone into an illegal war. The New York Times became George Bush and the Republican Party's national "blog." The New York Times played a role in
the outing of Valerie Plame. I do not know why I thought The New York Times had actually repented and was going to exhibit a different kind of behavior.
Maybe it was my faith in the Jewish Holy Day of Roshashana. Maybe it was my being caught up in the euphoria of the Season of Lent; but whatever it is or was, I was sadly mistaken. There is no repentance on the part of The New York Times. There is no integrity when it comes to The Times.
You should do well with that paper, Jodi. You looked me straight in my face and told me a lie!

The Democrats operate on a different moral plane than most decent Americans. For the Clintons, EVERYONE and EVERYTHING is expendable, no matter what, in pursuit of the Clintons' quest for power.

Can someone tell me why none of the main stream media is questioning or calling on Hillary to denounce and disown her pastor for supporting Wright? I think it is interesting how a die-hard Hillary supporter was instrumental in securing Rev. Wright's appearance at the National Press Club.

So you must be twice as angry with Hillary Clinton. Since she has been throwing stones, but, not disclosing that she spent eight years faithfully attending Foundry United Methodist Church in Washington, D.C., this is the same church that is pastored by Rev. Dean J. Snyder. The same pastor that praises Jeremiah Wright as “an agent of racial reconciliation” who proclaims "perceptions and truths uncomfortable for some white people to hear."

So, what do you suggest we do. All three have religious ties that are corrupt? I just think it is funny the Clinton down her shots of crown royal at the local watering hole to make me think she is one of us, but from reading these posts I am thinking she is one of them.

My church is 5 miles away from me, I rarely go, BUT YOU CAN BANK your bottom Dollar that I DO KNOW what my Pastor is up to.

At these times we get to know our priest by sharing private family issues. The least thing people want to is talk about politics during these important moments. I can only assume that the pundants who do not understand are those that have never attended a religious service. They are out of touch with this issue and should refrain from casting judgements from what they know little about. Or maybe they hope to keep this issue going, because they know they cannot win debating policy issues. Or even worse politics is the source where they get their dose of Godless morality.

We all know that Obama did not attend church regularly. Rev. Wright said as much in his famous press club interview. People who have been harping that Obama has been with his parish for 20 or so years. How could he not know? These idiots get on my nerve with thier assumptions. Just because a pastor bapistizes your children and marries you, then all of a sudden you are best friends. I have been going to my church for 25 plus years and barely know my priest.
