Wow. Those photos are beautiful. Should I park or take the subway?

Take Metro, for sure. Get off on the Smithsonian station on Metro and it's a short walk. A lot of times if you drive you'll have *no where* to park but you might get lucky. Best bet: The Metro.

Are the cherry blossoms still blooming? I heard they came earlier than expected this year.

My family and I are coming into town Easter weekend and were hoping to see them.

Any help would be appreciated.

They're great. Headed out yesterday morning to photograph the sunrise, and the trees were pretty close to peak.

ATTENTION: Cherry Blossoms Are Already Starting to Bloom

Cherry blossom season is here, and sooner than anyone had previously expected due to unseasonably warm temperatures in the Mid-Atlantic region. The Cherry blossom trees are blooming at the Tidal Basin in West Potomac Park this week: March 20 to March 23, 2012 is the newly revised forecast.

National Park Service chief horticulturalist Rob DeFeo predicted the peak bloom date for the pink and white flowers will be between March 24 and March 31. The peak date is defined as the day when 70 percent of the blossoms on the trees are open. The trees, which are expected to start blooming March 17, attract about a million visitors to the nation's capital each year. While the average peak bloom date is April 4, the trees on the Tidal Basin have bloomed as early as March 15 (1990) and as late as April 18 (1958).

I was told that the cherry blossom trees are now in full bloom. Is this true? What is the weather going to do to the cherry blossom trees? Will the trees still be in full bloom this weekend? Please advise.

You may or may not get lucky with mother nature this weekend. One way to know whats going on is to look at the LIVE CHERRY BLOSSOM WEBCAM before you start your trip. This weekend should be peak blooming.

We are planning a trip this weekend to come to see the Cherry blossoms in D.C ? Would we be able to see the peak blooms or will we be disappointed because of the rain/snow that fell through the week? - Someone please advice.
