  1. One Night Only in The Comedy Lounge! Hosted by Jason Weems "Washington has been the home of a number of very good comics and a few great ones (Wanda Sykes, Dave Chappelle, Lewis Black, Martin Lawrence). Erin Jackson could be next in line." -- The Washington Post Armed with a megawatt smile and a very unique perspective, Erin Jackson is poised to take the world of comedy by storm! In fact, she'd probably be well on her way to superstardom by now if her friends and family hadn't spent so many years tearing down her dreams and stealing her joy. Since making a name for herself in the comedy clubs of Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD, Erin has garnered national attention with performances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Comedy Central's Live at Gotham. She was a semifinalist on NBC's Last Comic Standing 6, a finalist in NBC's Stand-Up for Diversity Initiative, and has made several appearances on The Bob and Tom Show. Erin is currently peddling her comedic wares at venues all around the country, and while she's in no rush to achieve celebrity status, she is looking forward to the day when she becomes famous enough to move to Hollywood, buy a mansion and marry a White woman – the ultimate symbol of success for Black celebrities. Featuring Rob Maher - Rob started his comedy career in Northern Virginia. He quickly became the greatest comedian of all time. It wasn't long before his humor was curing cancer and feeding the homeless. Rob has worked with Charlie Murphy, Lewis Black, Pablo Franciso and Frank Caliendo. He can also be heard regularly on Baltimore's 98 Rock. www.dcimprov.com
  2. THE DC IMPROV COMEDY CLUB PRESENTS "PAY WHAT YOU CAN NIGHT" A Once A Month Series In an effort for everyone to have the ability to experience the art of standup comedy the way it was intended to be seen, "Live," The DC Improv Comedy Club is pleased to announce our new monthly series, "Pay What You Can Night." We understand that not all people are in a position to see live comedy due to their financial situations, now simply, "Pay What You Can." The night returns Wednesday, February 11th featuring comedian Eddie Gossling. Tickets may still be purchased in advance for this evening at our normal ticket price of $15.00. Tickets to "Pay What You Can" are available only the night of the show on a first come first served basis upon availability. Showtime is at 8:30p.m., and doors open for seating at 7:00p.m. Our two item minimum will not be enforced for this show; however our 18 years and older policy will remain in effect. After that one night a month will be announced as "Pay What You Can Night." Please feel free to contact The DC Improv with any questions at 202 296-7008. Thank you for supporting the arts, see you at the show. One of the funniest working comedians on the road today, Eddie Gossling's humor is brilliantly original, charming and slightly self-deprecating. He's a force on stage not unlike the big ones he admires: Steve Martin, Richard Pryor and Bob Newhart. In 1995, Eddie won the HBO Stand-Up Standoff Comic Relief VII competion and in 1997, he won the US Comedy Arts Festival Talent Search competion. Shortly after, he performed at the Chicago Comedy Festival and then became the first comedian ever to perform at the Montreal Just-For-Laughs Comedy Fest as both a 'New Faces' performer and a 'Festival Gala' performer. In addition he has appeared on Comedy Central Presents, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and the Disney animated feature, "The Wild," Eddie has also been featured on Comedy Central's "shorties watchin shorties," "Premium Blend," "World Comedy Tour" as well as Byron Allen's "Comics Unleashed" and the Bravo and Game Show Network. Eddie works the clubs like nobody's business and has single-handedly redefined the words 'working comedian.' He's thankful for the many favors he's received thus far in his happy life and is looking forward to paying them back one joke after another. www.dcimprov.com
