  1. Hey Everyone!! Just go back from covering the OAR, Howie Day, and Graham Colton Concert. It was jammin'. They sold out the house! 3. There's a new M. Night film coming out at the end of this month. Wasn't a fan of Unbreakable, but Signs slightly scared the b-jeebus out of me. Synoposis: Set in 1897, the tale of an isolated village confronting an astonishing truth that lies just outside its borders. At first glance, this village seems picture perfect, but this close-knit community lives with the frightening knowledge that creatures reside in surrounding woods. The evil and foreboding force is so unnerving that none dare venture beyond the borders of the village and into the woods. But when curious, headstrong Lucius Hunt plans to step beyond the boundaries of the town and into the unknown, his bold move threatens to forever change the fate of the village. The trailer is INTENSE. Should i be laughing like so many of my friends did at Signs?

  6. I'm going to be down at school during the election this fall. I heard last year that absentee ballots only count when there is a tie. Is that true? Should i make a trip up back to NoVa? -Sarah the Intern
  7. Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you guys out there know that I recently went to the Phantom Planet concert at the 9:30 Club in DC. I took lots of pictures, and they should be up sometime during the middle of this week. It was an awesome show! -Sarah the Intern
  8. Just over a thousand pages, and $35 + tax, is Bill Clinton's Autobiography My Life really worth it? As a graduation present last spring my father gave me Hilary's Autobiography, Living History. It was a gift to inspire me to strive for big things in life, as i transitioned from high school to college. I started reading, and it was so boring. She totally disregards what happened with her husband, and was in denial about huge part of her life as the First Lady. So, I am weary about starting this new book, and the hassles of lugging the brick of a thing around town. Any opinions or reviews would be highly appreciated. Thanks, Sarah the Intern
  9. Thanks! I had a lot of fun doing it!
  10. Hey Everyone, Just wanted to let you guys know i posted the pictures for the concert i covered at the black cat last week. Thanks to the band for letting me take pictures from backstage! Check out their site, www.pedrothelion.com to see their summer tour dates!
  11. Pending Draft Legislation Targeted for Spring 2005 The Draft will Start in June 2005 "There is pending legislation in the House and Senate (twin bills: S 89 and HR 163) which will time the program's initiation so the draft can begin at early as Spring 2005 -- just after the 2004 presidential election. The administration is quietly trying to get these bills passed now, while the public's attention is on the elections, so our action on this is needed immediately. $28 million has been added to the 2004 Selective Service System (SSS) budget to prepare for a military draft that could start as early as June 15, 2005. Selective Service must report to Bush on March 31, 2005 that the system, which has lain dormant for decades, is ready for activation. Please see website: www.sss.gov/perfplan_fy2004.html to view the sss annual performance plan - fiscal year 2004. The pentagon has quietly begun a public campaign to fill all 10,350 draft board positions and 11,070 appeals board slots nationwide.. Though this is an unpopular election year topic, military experts and influential members of congress are suggesting that if Rumsfeld's prediction of a "long, hard slog" in Iraq and Afghanistan [and a permanent state of war on "terrorism"] proves accurate, the U.S. may have no choice but to draft." The above is an excerpt from a longer article that was brought my attention at Congress.org. The article in it's entirety can be viewed at: http://www.congress.org/congressorg/issues...=ua_congressorg I feel as though, not many people know about this pending legislature. Am i suppose to believe that I'm this misinformed? -Sarah (the DCpages intern)
