This neighborhood has been a fixture in the artist community, and has several spectacular murals. Seems like each year there is a new mural added to the community. If you are a muralist, this neighborhood has to be on your list of places to visit. Here are some examples of a few of the historic murals from the neighborhood. You cannot mention Washington, D.C.'s art gallery scene without naming this gallery. As a presenter of contemporary art, drawing, photography, and challenging art work in expansive exhibits throughout the years, the gallery has earned its place as a top-notch art gallery. They also offer to private and corporate clients services of art acquisition and sale and consultant. Since 1986, the gallery has been an active member of the Art Dealers Association of Greater Washington. Featured Artist Nancy Sansom Reynolds she is a world renowned contemporary sculpture. She creates minimal, abstract sculptures from laminated plywood, cast bronze, resign, and aluminum. Her sculptures have been displayed throughout the United States, Europe, Asian, and Africa. Her work is great to study if you use dynamic shapes in your art. Her technique is to first create a design by using architectural computer program to produce a layout. She next takes separate pieces of material, and layers them on top of each other. After the gallery visit we will walk up the street to Ledo pizza, where you will be treated to pizza and soda drinks. This pizza is has both high quality with generous toppings. Anyone who is a connoisseur of pizza will appreciate the handmade dough with generous toppings.
