For it's 10th year anniversary, the Downtown Countdown, being held at the Washington Hilton (1919 Connecticut Ave.) promises to be DC's premier New Year's Eve party this year. The massive event features 5 party areas, a 5 hour open bar, full dinner buffets, six live bands, including Cowboy Mouth and Pat McGee Band, and DC's biggest balloon drop at midnight! DC101's Elliot in the Morning and Jon Ballard will be hosting the event. Current ticket prices are at $109, and VIP are at $175, however tickets will increase as the event gets closer.
