CH2M HILL's Herndon, Virginia office is growing and we are currently looking for an Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental team. In this exciting role you will be given the opportunity to apply your 2 plus years of experience on a variety of environmental investigation/remediation projects. Typical tasks would include conducting environmental sampling, remedial construction oversight, remedial action evaluations and estimating, and report writing. All fieldwork will be performed in a manner consistent with CH2M HILL’s, and our client’s health and safety requirements. As an integral member of our team you will have the opportunity to work within a team-oriented office environment.

Qualified candidates will have a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university, at least 2 years of professional consulting and field experiences, and OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPPER training.

Preferred Candidates will have a B.S. in Environmental Engineering with at least 2 years of consulting and field experiences. Candidate should be a versatile engineer that wants to work on a variety of different projects and has the ability to learn new skills quickly under the guidance of others. Candidate should be able to interact with teams spread over multiple offices. A strong emphasis on health and safety is required with some experience with behavior-based health & safety programs as a plus. Good communication skills are required to communicate effectively with contractors, project team, project manager, and other stakeholders. Candidates should possess the attributes to become a strong consultant (team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self starter that takes initiative and has a service mentality).
