Eckington needs your help planting trees and daffodils throughout the neighborhood this autumn season. See below for more details:

Trees: We will be planting 13 trees at several locations on Tuesday, November 15 between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Volunteers should meet at the corner of First Street, NE and New York Avenue, NE (in front of ATF HQ) by 9 a.m. wearing sturdy shoes and attire. Coffee and doughnuts provided.

Bulbs: The NoMa BID is planting more than 17,000 daffodils throughout NoMa during the weeks around Thanksgiving, and we need volunteer help! Volunteers are needed primarily on Friday and Saturday, November 18 and 19 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Other dates are available later that week if necessary.) Each volunteer will receive 10 free daffodil bulbs as a gift of gratitude for their help.

If you’re interested in volunteering for tree or daffodil planting, please contact Rachel Davis at 202-289-0111 x.3 or rdavis@nomabid.org with your preferred date and the number of volunteers and friends you can bring.

Last Farmers Market: October 26

Stop by the last NoMa Farmers Market of the season Wednesday, October 26, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 1200 First Street, NE (in front of Harris Teeter/CVS). Stock up on apples, cider, sausage, and pumpkins, and thank our wonderful farmers for coming out each week this season! Comments about the farmers market? Please send to Rachel Davis at rdavis@nomabid.org.

Thank you so much for your community spirit!
