Guest Montgomery County Fair Posted August 11, 2011 Report Share Posted August 11, 2011 2011 MONTGOMERY COUNTY AGRICULTURAL FAIR Gaithersburg, Maryland A 1940s project to get young people involved in agriculture and homemaking skills turned into one of the largest county fairs on the East Coast -- and it was started by kids! The 63rd Annual Montgomery County Agricultural Fair’s theme is “It’s Udderly Terrific”. We have some exciting new entertainment, food and items this year such as; Lawn Mower Racing, Michelle’s Magic Poodles, StatueViva, Draft Horse Pull, Fudge Puppie Waffles, Cheese Bites, Loaded Ribbon Chips, Alice in Wonderland, Jr. theater performance, and themed events. Additional grandstand events include the Monster Truck Madness and Demolition Derby's “Night of Destruction”. The fair competitions this year will be “The FAIR’s got TALENT!”. Bring your talents to the stage to win 1st prize, $300! The fair will continue with offering loads of free entertainment, animals, KidZone, 4-H demonstrations, arts & crafts, agricultural education, photography, shows, and more.
