  1. I really like Tears in Heaven. I am a big Clapton Fan.
  2. She seems lively and wholesome.
  3. Nachiappan, Cute name. What does it mean in English? I think our government needs withdraw its annual $25 billion in subsidies for coal and oil and create equivalent subsidies for clean, safe, non-nuclear energy alternatives. I really get upset seeing polar bears drowning and people having to leave their island homes. Tell me what you think about this White House release.
  4. All I know is that your spamming many web boards with the same message It would be better if you were honest with your approach.
  5. Hey Luke, I like the maps. Are they really planning to put a strip bar next to a church? That is like putting the devil next to God. That would never happen in New York.
  6. I think Al Gore is sexy. He was one of the few brave political souls who dared challenge George W. Bush over his plans to invade Iraq and unlimited power to imprison American men and women. "Instead of keeping after al-Qaeda and stabilizing Afghanistan, Bush had chosen to start a new war against Iraq as the first example of his policy of preemption," Gore said. “He is telling us that our most urgent task right now is to shift our focus and concentrate on immediately launching a new war against Saddam Hussein,” Gore said. “And the President is proclaiming a new uniquely American right to preemptively attack whomsoever he may deem represents a potential future threat.” Gore also objected to the timing of the vote on war with Iraq. “President Bush is demanding, in this high political season, that Congress speedily affirm that he has the necessary authority to proceed immediately against Iraq and, for that matter, under the language of his resolution, against any other nation in the region regardless of subsequent developments or emerging circumstances,” Gore said. I am no green person, but his movie made me think.
  7. I find it a bit odd that she and her son would both die within months of each other. If the cororner says it was from heart failure this story will fly for months. I bet that Stern creep offed her. News Reports are also surfacing that Anna Nicole suffered a high fever last night. She had been at the hotel since Monday.
  8. I have not lived in the District that long, but I don't understand why you would not want to give people a right to vote.
  9. Does Setrak perform in Washington DC?
  10. It really peevs me to see a person come prancing out of a car that I know does not need to be in a handicap parking space.

  12. What does that have to do with Luke
  13. I have not posted in awhile, but I could not take it anymore. I am sick and tired of seeing all the media networks constantly posting Mel Gibson's stupid antics as a top news story. Today's news producers do not understand what journalism really is. Last Summer we had Tom Cruise. The Summer before that we had Michael Jackson. None of these people matter to the welfare of Americans. Mel Gibson is just an actor with no depth of knowledge, yet the media keeps playing his story over and over. I am truly sick of hearing about it.
  14. The question is whether or not you can really answer them.
  15. Nothing beats the scorn of an angry woman....
  16. I see that Mayor Anthony A. Williams today issued the following statement following the announcement that Rep. Tom Davis (R-VA) had partnered with Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton and other lawmakers on a bill providing voting representation in Congress for District residents. “This legislation marks a solid step forward to full representation for the people of the District of Columbia and I’m grateful to our allies on the Hill, especially Tom Davis and Eleanor Holmes Norton. I believe this could be the year our city finally wins the same rights enjoyed by other American cities,” said Mayor Williams. “Critics say this bill shortchanges us because it does not include a vote in the Senate. I say this effort gets us halfway there and obviously brings us closer than ever to full voting rights.” Mayor Williams continued, “I’ve been a supporter of this effort for some time and the announcement today that Eleanor believes in this bill tells me we are on the right track. I will be closely watching the House Government Reform and Judiciary Committees to see how this legislation advances.” Keep it up Luke...
  17. There is a flame chain email war going on if anyone has noticed:
  18. Instead of putting up barriers, I think we should use that money to setup better education facilities in poor countries. You see people in Asia, Russia, India, and the Balkans offerring to do programming work for a fraction of what it costs in the United States. But, the online workforce in Latin America seems to be following that trend at a much slower pace. Maybe if there is an effort to better equip and train people they might not need to come to our country. Also free trade is hurting the lower class in Latin America. Farmers are having a more difficult time competing against U.S. agriculture corporations.
  19. Camille, You were right. But, what I meant is your web site has not links back to DC Message Boards.com. Can you please put a link on your web site to DC Message Boards.com. We appreciate you understanding of cross promotion. Thanks. Nat.
  20. It almost seemed like a miracle to Haldis Gundersen when she turned on her kitchen faucet this weekend and found the water had turned into beer. Two flights down, employees and customers at the Big Tower Bar were horrified when water poured out of the beer taps. By an improbable feat of clumsy plumbing, someone at the bar in Kristiandsund, western Norway, had accidentally hooked the beer hoses to the water pipes for Gundersen's apartment. "We had settled down for a cozy Saturday evening, had a nice dinner, and I was just going to clean up a little," Gundersen, 50, told The Associated Press by telephone Monday. "I turned on the kitchen faucet and beer came out." However, Gundersen said the beer was flat and not tempting, even in a country where a half-liter (pint) can cost about 25 kroner ($3.75) in grocery stores. Per Egil Myrvang, of the local beer distributor, said he helped bartenders reconnect the pipes by telephone. "The water and beer pipes do touch each other, but you have to be really creative to connect them together," he told local newspapers. Gundersen joked about having the pub send up free beer for her next party. "But maybe it would be easier if they just invited me down for a beer," she said
  21. I was baptized a Catholic and I am not in any way an activist. But, having stated that... I am quite concerned about losing my freedom of choice. I am also worried supporting a woman's right to choose is a sin. I was sure abortion was considered a sin in the bible and then I saw this Hosea 9:14. Give them, O Lord: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb (an abortion) and dry breasts. And later, Hosea 9:16 ...yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb. What is the meaning of this statement in the Bible? Can someone give me clarification. If you have an answer for the above question then please provide your thoughts on whether having an abortion is a God granted freedom of personal choice? Or is this breaking God's commandment of murder?
  22. The link does not work. I think you are full of BS.
  23. A friend sent this to me from National Center for Science Education ********************************************************* Two antievolution bills in Alabama On January 10, 2005, two identical bills -- House Bill 106 and Senate Bill 45 -- were introduced in the Alabama legislature, under the rubric of "The Academic Freedom Act," and referred to the Committees on Education of their respective chambers. These identical bills purport to protect the right of teachers to "present scientific information pertaining to the full range of scientific views in any curricula or course of learning" and the right of students not to be "penalized in any way because he or she may subscribe to a particular position on any views." In language reminiscent of the Santorum language removed from the No Child Left Behind Act, they specify that "[t]he rights and privileges contained in this act apply when topics are taught that may generate controversy, such as biological or chemical origins." Presumably attempting to avert the charge that their provisions would violate the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, the bills also provide, "[N]othing in this act shall be construed as promoting any religious doctrine, promoting discrimination for or against a particular set of religious beliefs, or promoting discrimination for or against religion or non-religion." http://alisdb.legislature.state.al.us/acas...bills/hb106.htm http://alisdb.legislature.state.al.us/acas.../bills/sb45.htm
