I have not posted in awhile, but I could not take it anymore. I am sick and tired of seeing all the media networks constantly posting Mel Gibson's stupid antics as a top news story. Today's news producers do not understand what journalism really is. Last Summer we had Tom Cruise. The Summer before that we had Michael Jackson. None of these people matter to the welfare of Americans. Mel Gibson is just an actor with no depth of knowledge, yet the media keeps playing his story over and over. I am truly sick of hearing about it.

The question is whether or not you can really answer them.

I see that Mayor Anthony A. Williams today issued the following statement following the announcement that Rep. Tom Davis (R-VA) had partnered with Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton and other lawmakers on a bill providing voting representation in Congress for District residents. “This legislation marks a solid step forward to full representation for the people of the District of Columbia and I’m grateful to our allies on the Hill, especially Tom Davis and Eleanor Holmes Norton. I believe this could be the year our city finally wins the same rights enjoyed by other American cities,” said Mayor Williams. “Critics say this bill shortchanges us because it does not include a vote in the Senate. Instead of putting up barriers, I think we should use that money to setup better education facilities in poor countries. You see people in Asia, Russia, India, and the Balkans offerring to do programming work for a fraction of what it costs in the United States. But, the online workforce in Latin America seems to be following that trend at a much slower pace. Maybe if there is an effort to better equip and train people they might not need to come to our country. Also free trade is hurting the lower class in Latin America. Farmers are having a more difficult time competing against U.S. agriculture corporations.

It almost seemed like a miracle to Haldis Gundersen when she turned on her kitchen faucet this weekend and found the water had turned into beer. Two flights down, employees and customers at the Big Tower Bar were horrified when water poured out of the beer taps. By an improbable feat of clumsy plumbing, someone at the bar in Kristiandsund, western Norway, had accidentally hooked the beer hoses to the water pipes for Gundersen's apartment. "We had settled down for a cozy Saturday evening, had a nice dinner, and I was just going to clean up a little," Gundersen, 50, told The Associated Press by telephone Monday. "I turned on the kitchen faucet and beer came out." However, Gundersen said the beer was flat and not tempting, even in a country where a half-liter (pint) can cost about 25 kroner ($3.75) in grocery stores. Per Egil Myrvang, of the local beer distributor, said he helped bartenders reconnect the pipes by telephone. "The water and beer pipes do touch each other, but you have to be really creative to connect them together," he told local newspapers. I was baptized a Catholic and I am not in any way an activist. But, having stated that... I am quite concerned about losing my freedom of choice. I am also worried supporting a woman's right to choose is a sin. I was sure abortion was considered a sin in the bible and then I saw this Hosea 9:14. Give them, O Lord: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb (an abortion) and dry breasts. And later, Hosea 9:16 ...yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb. What is the meaning of this statement in the Bible? Can someone give me clarification. If you have an answer for the above question then please provide your thoughts on whether having an abortion is a God granted freedom of personal choice? Or is this breaking God's commandment of murder?
