  1. Georgetown Shopping

This New York girl really is starting to like Washington. Did you go to Georgetown Park?
  2. Amélie is a 2001 French film directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and starring Audrey Tautou. Its original French title is Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain ("The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain"; poulain is French for foal). Written by Jeunet with Guillaume Laurant, the film is a whimsical and somewhat idealised depiction of contemporary Parisian life, set in Montmartre. It tells the story of a painfully shy waitress who decides to change the lives of those around her for the better, while struggling with her own isolation. Amélie won best film at the European Film Awards; it won four César Awards (including Best Film and Best Director), two BAFTA Awards (including Best Original Screenplay), and was nominated for five Academy Awards. (See below for other awards and recognition.)

  12. Carbon Trade

Nachiappan, Cute name. What does it mean in English? I think our government needs withdraw its annual $25 billion in subsidies for coal and oil and create equivalent subsidies for clean, safe, non-nuclear energy alternatives. I really get upset seeing polar bears drowning and people having to leave their island homes. Tell me what you think about this White House release.

  15. Hey Luke, I like the maps. Are they really planning to put a strip bar next to a church? That is like putting the devil next to God. That would never happen in New York.
