  4. we are the HIGH-TECH LOCK COMPANY( nearly 2 decades installing safety & security solutions) . Launching a remote controllable /invisible lock for both commercial and residential applications.

    the lock is  100% burglar :ph34r:pick :ph34r:drill proof.

What makes this lock so hot?? crooks, thieves & thugs do not have a clue that the door/window is locked or unlocked differently than your neighbors.

As a general rule thieves do not want to spend an enormous amount of time . Get in and get out and cha cha cha. Decent lock pickers can be in on average less than 20 seconds. A bad lock picker maybe 30-35 seconds. bottom line whether they pick or bump your locks they can be in your home under a minute. wait for it .... "but I have an alarm". Great hope you use it & authorities arrive on time!!!

Let's talk reality for a second. what if you were to put an invisible lock on the door? nobody could see, pick ,(

) bump, drill or violate it in any way. Do you think that would be a benefit to you? you get in and out do your business come back-- nobody knows. Even if someone is watching you leave that person would not even have a clue where on the door the lock is ( smashing a door is usually the last option-- making a ton of noise is just not in the crook's best interest). Generally they will go NEXT DOOR.

Now these invisible pick proof locks can be attached to wood, metal, glass door and windows. put them on containers, sheds, trucks, airplane cockpits, doctor offices, restaurants, retail and...

You might not be able to imagine you could afford your child's dreams and wishes for the future right now. But that could change if you use the right tactics. There is a way that can help you to prepare for the your child's future - mutual funds. There are many funds that can help you invest in specific plans that augment your child's future. The plans tend to vary based on the age of the child you're investing for. If you're investing for an infant or a child of up to 5 years - investments are likely to be equity based. Generally, the investment period could be up to around 15 years from when you start investing your money. This is the best time for you to start investing. It gives you more time with which you can build up your assets. You end up with more time in which you can keep investing money into the mutual fund.

Once your child is around 6 or 7, start considering a balanced fund. Even if you're leaning a bit towards equities, that's alright. But by this time, you shouldn't rely only on equities. This is because you'll have less time with to invest. Relying on equities means exposing your capital to volatility. At this point, the fund you choose needs to be balanced with a great deal of safety too. The investment period should range up to about 12 years. It gives you comparatively less time - for both investing and for you money to grow. Once the child reaches teens, don't take any risks with your capital at all. Get a children plan with emphasis on debt funds rather than equity. You will have an investment period of around 5 years at the most, so don't take risks with your money. Let it grow slowly but safely with debt funds.

Why debt funds? The investment period is too small for you to take risks with your money. You'll need your money back in five years. Equity is simply too dangerous when you would need the money back in such a short while. Investing in debt funds helps to gain at least some level of interest on your money. You should have a good option for liquidity when you're investing, though. Whatever plan you want to choose, ensure you have a fair idea of what you want when the investment comes to an end. You don't want to fall short of the money you need. If you need more money, start investing earlier. Your money will have enough time to grow that way.

  5. Affordable Ways to Keep Your Home Organized

Organization is an important part of owning a home, but at times it is not an easy task. It is common for homeowners to become overwhelmed as stuff accumulates and starts to take over the home, especially if there is no order or organization, but many homeowners are not willing to tackle an organization project because of the time and effort that it takes. While organizing a home is a lot of work, once the project is complete, it is much easier to keep the home organized and clean, and homeowners rarely regret it. Here are some helpful tips for organizing your home.

    Kitchen organization

The kitchen is the best place to start when organizing your home, because it is the center of the home where everything seems to accumulate and clutter up. Empty drawers, cupboards, shelves, the fridge and pantries and get rid of items that do not need to be in the kitchen. Purchase organization tools such as baskets and drawer organizers that will help you keep your kitchen organized. Buzzfeed suggests installing lazy susans in your pantry and refrigerator to open up space as well as keep your items organized and easy to find. If you need more cupboard space, install hooks in the cupboards to hang mugs from and open up space for dishes and other items.

    Closet organization

If you are already working with small closets, there is not enough room for unnecessary clutter. Clothing hangers take up a lot of valuable room, so consider installing a slide out rack for belts, scarves and ties. Slide out racks are easy and affordable to install, and while they look like they take up space, the actually save a lot of closet and drawer space. Shoe organizers do not have to be just for shoes. Use them as an organization tool for utility closets to hold toilet paper or paper towel rolls. Hang racks on the back of closet doors to hold cleaners and other products that take up cabinet or closet space. You might even consider hanging hooks on the back of doors to hold purses, bags and other items that are hard to find a home for.

    Storage organization

Finding storage space can be a nightmare, but it does not have to be. If you have exposed beams, install wire shelving underneath them to create storage shelves for bins and other items. Create more storage in cupboards by using stylish baskets to store cutting boards, baking pans and cooling racks. You can also open up drawer space by installing a tension rod to keep your lids and other small items in place. Get creative when storing items. Recycle products like egg cartons to use as drawer organizers to hold jewelry, nail polish and other small items.

Artificial intelligence has always had a bad rap when it comes to depictions of it in television, film, and literature. It seems humans have a tendency to expect the worst possible outcome when they visualize a future where artificial intelligence is a part of our day-to-day lives. In most depictions, artificial intelligence quickly surpasses human intelligence and uses that advantage to attempt to destroy the entire species. While everyone pretty much recognizes that these films and books are science fiction, there are plenty who do believe in the real possibility of an artificial intelligence takeover. And though many of these people’s opinions might be written off as the delusions of a crazy conspiracy theorist, other voices are harder to ignore. Some of science’s most brilliant minds like Stephen Hawking, Bill Gates, and Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk as well as many AI researchers have all warned about the dangers of artificial intelligence. Hawking even went so far as to say that full artificial intelligence could mean the end of the human race.

    Is artificial intelligence really dangerous?

At a recent conference, Tom Dietterich, president of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence, stressed that artificial intelligence in itself isn’t really dangerous. What the general public—those who haven’t dedicated years to study artificial intelligence—doesn’t understand is that artificial intelligence can’t suddenly alter its programming to turn against humans as they often do in Hollywood depictions of artificial intelligence. The real danger is in the programming they’re given to begin with.

    Humans still humanity’s greatest threat

What Stephen Hawking, Bill Gates, and Elon Musk really fear isn’t artificial intelligence, but the humans tasked with creating and programming it. AI is nothing but intelligence software that can enable machines to imitate the more complex human behaviors. Full artificial intelligence, which we have so far been unable to create is software that perfectly imitates human behavior and can surpass human intelligence. But either way, artificial intelligence is still limited to its programming.

The real threat of artificial intelligence is the autonomy, or freedom that humans give it. According to AI researches. Autonomy isn’t something that occurs naturally with artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence couldn’t simply takeover our weapons systems like they often do in movies in order to wipe out humanity. Artificial intelligence only handles the tasks we give them. If humans grant them autonomy with weapon systems, then there is danger. What Stephen Hawking, Bill Gates, and Elon Musk are urging is that humans be careful about what tasks they assign to artificial intelligence and what tasks they leave to humans. Even more importantly, they urge that humans develop a method of control so that humans retain control over artificial intelligence.

Isaac Asimov, the famed science fiction author, did more than write novels. He is also credited with coming up with the three laws of robotics:

    1. A robot may not injure a human being, or through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
    2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the first law.
    3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the first or second laws.

According to Asimov, these laws will need to govern the use of robotics to keep both them and humanity safe. A major fear is that artificially intelligent robots could eventually pose a threat to humans either by actively seeking to harm them, or by failing to act in a manner that would preserve human life. Because humans are beginning to give robots control over essential infrastructure, the latter is as especially big concern.
Recently, an employee at a Volkswagen plant in Germany was crushed when he became trapped in a robot arm. The machine was only doing what it was programmed to do and wasn’t able to alter its programming even when a human’s life was in danger. To make robots safer for humans, robotics researchers at Tufts University are working on developing artificial intelligence that can deviate from its programming if the circumstances warrant it. The technology is still primitive but it’s an important step if artificially intelligent robots are going to be coexisting with humans someday.
    How it works
Researchers at Tufts University’s Human-Robot Interaction lab designed a robot that recognizes that it is allowed to disobey orders when there is a good reason. For example, when facing a ledge, the robot will refuse to walk forward even when ordered to. Not only will the robot refuse, but he is programmed to state the reason—that he would fall if he were to obey. To understand how the robot is able to do this, we have to first understand the concept of “felicity conditions.” Felicity conditions refer to the distinction between understanding the command being given, and the implications of following that command. To design a robot that could refuse to obey certain orders, the researchers programmed the robot to go through five logical steps when given a command:

    1. Do I know how to do X
    2. Am I physically able to do X now? Am I normally physically able to do X?
    3. Am I able to do X right now?
    4. Am I obligated based on my social role to do X?
    5. Does it violate any normative principle to do X?

This five step logical process enables the robot to determine whether or not a command would cause harm to itself or a human before following an order. The researchers recently presented their work at the AI for Human-Robot Interaction Symposium in Washington DC.

  9. These days, global warming is a pretty hot topic. A lot of attention is being paid to how industrialization, especially in urban areas, contributes to warmer temperatures. It’s been reported that the temperature in an urban area can be increased by several degrees. This is known as the urban heat island effect. To counter this, engineers have come up with a number of heat reducing technologies. Two of these include roofing materials.

    Two heat reducing roofs

One of the factors believed to contribute to the urban heat island effect is dark roofing materials. By far the most common roofing material is asphalt shingles. These darker roofs absorb heat. It’s theorized that in urban areas where there are many dark colored roofs packed close together, the heat absorbed by those roofs increases the temperature in that region. This has led to two alternative roofing types.

The first is cool roofs, also known as white roofs. A cool roof can be made from many different materials. What makes it a cool roof is the white reflective coating placed over it. The white coating, rather than trapping heat, reflects it back.

Green roofs, use a different method for reducing the urban heat island effect. The vegetation on a green roof absorbs the energy from the sun. The layer of vegetation prevents the heat from becoming trapped and raising the temperature.

    Unexpected consequences

While many proponents of cool and green roofs are optimistic about these alternative roofing options, a new study casts some doubt on their effectiveness, at least in some areas. The study was carried out by Arizona State University's School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning. Their conclusion was that when it comes to these alternative roofing options, geography is everything.

One consideration often overlooked is the climate of the area in which the roofs are installed. For instance, cool roofs are effective at reducing cooling costs in the summer. Because they reflect heat, homeowners don’t need to spend as much money keeping their homes cool. However, in northern climates where winters are much colder, the cool roofs can do more harm than good. By reflecting heat during winter, cool roofs can cost homeowners more on heating costs in winter than they save on cooling costs in summer.

Another interesting finding is that cool roofs can have an effect on precipitation. According to simulations for Florida for example, urban areas with cool roofs could reduce precipitation by up to 50% leading to water shortages for the region.

According to researchers, the data suggests that a blanket approach for all areas will not work. Different regions will have to adopt the heat reduction strategies that will work best for those areas.

Whether they’re looking to build a bachelor pad, refurbish a tiny condo, or downsize following the last child’s move to college, a growing trend in the nation is for people to downsize, rather than upsize. This move could be in response to high utility costs, the price of land, or a desire to “go green.” Whatever the case, homeowners can now create their own tiny slices of heaven on earth in less than 500 square feet. All it takes is a little imagination.

That’s what a Colorado couple needed after their house burned down in a forest fire in 2012. They pitched their plight to Tiny House Nation, a series on the FYI network, and earlier this year, their home was completed and they were able to move in to their new, 500 square foot home. Though it’s less than half the space they were used to, they are now totally off grid, living off solar panels and enjoying an expansive view of the mountains. They also chose to move some of their living area out of doors with two separate patios with comfortable lounging chairs.

    Giant projector screen, tiny house

Another tiny house is just over 200 square feet. It has no loft, instead allowing a queen size bed to roll out from beneath an office area. A screen pulls down over the windows to provide privacy and a projector screen. Beneath the surface of the desk is the owner’s keyboard—he’s a fan of music and small spaces. The coffee table has a single metal leg which can be moved to various spots around the room and lifted to various heights with a pneumatic lift depending on the desired use—dining table, coffee table, footrest, etc.

    Renovated colonial

A small Massachusetts colonial home is also surprisingly livable, especially after the renovation its current owners completed following its purchase. A grungy kitchen with outdated appliances and cracked tile floors was almost magically transformed with new appliances, a coat of paint on the walls and existing cabinets, and a new vinyl floor. The wood floors of the rest of the house were similarly deteriorated, but appeared beautiful after being sanded and refinished. A small staircase leads to an upstairs bedroom with quaint slanted ceilings.

These homes prove you don’t need a huge home to be comfortable or happy. It’s all in your attitude and your willingness to simplify your life down to what you really need. After living in a 500 square foot with my husband and son for 6 months now, I don’t even remember what we put away in storage. All that extra “stuff” (whatever it is) wasn’t really necessary after all.
